URC is launching its 2026 Unsurpassed Awards program with an official request for entries. Now entering its 12th year, this annual competition celebrates excellence, innovative system design, and outstanding programming creativity among systems integration professionals.
The awards program recognizes the best and most unique residential and commercial installations featuring URC technology. Direct dealers who purchase URC products are eligible to enter their projects that occurred during the calendar year 2025 or 2026. Submissions are handled through an e-file submission process directly through URC’s dealer portal.
This year’s competition affords an opportunity to showcase the essence of creative programming with URC’s product lineup and recent product launches, including the TRC-1120 handheld remote and TDC-8300 in-wall touch screen controller.
Award Categories & Eligibility
Dealers are invited to submit entries across four main pillars, capturing a wide variety of project scales and custom configurations:
- Best Residential Installation – USA: Honoring luxury home automation systems that integrate lighting, audio, video, climate, and custom user displays.
- Best Commercial Installation – USA: Celebrating massive control and high-definition audio (HDA) matrixing in urban offices, trendy hotels, bars, or contemporary restaurants.
- Most Unique Installation – USA: Spotlighting design-forward, highly distinctive environments, out-of-the-box system configurations, or advanced landscape and outdoor integrations.
- Best International Installation – Global: Recognizing world-class smart environments deployed by global dealers and international distribution partners.
Highly exceptional multi-vertical candidates will also be considered for the Chairman’s Award of Excellence, which recognizes consistent, extensive, and superior performance across residential and commercial automation deployment.
Past winners of the competition include industry-recognized integrators like Nard’s Entertainment, Starpower, JL Entertainment Designs, Hemag Inc., Automation Sensations, Audio Wizard AV, Certified Sounds LLC, AAA Electronic Services, Allstar Systems, and BenchMark AV.

Entry Submissions and Announcement
Entries will be accepted from authorized URC dealers through Friday, July 24, 2026. URC dealers can view official details, category criteria, and submit project details via URC’s award-winning Dealer Portal at https://urcportal.com/unsurpassed-awards/.
Winners in each category will receive high-profile industry publicity — ranging from physical crystal awards to targeted digital and social media campaigns — and will be announced on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the CEDIA Expo in Denver, Colorado.
