Q&A with James Mayo, head of CI and indirect sales at Samsung Electronics America.
Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo/CIX 2025?
CEDIA offers a great way for Samsung to meet with custom installation professionals and demonstrate our cutting-edge portfolio of 2025 TVs and soundbars. And this year, we’ll also have the largest booth on the show floor (#2512) in collaboration with Harman! Show attendees can swing by the space to experience everything from our Glare Free OLED TVs, Neo QLED 8K and 4K, customizable Art TVs like The Frame Pro, and even a world-first in our Samsung Micro RGB TV.
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
It’s been amazing to see how the intersection of hardware, design and AI have helped customize TV and audio for different homes and environments. This trend is something we especially priority at Samsung. Today, we offer the biggest lineup of connected screens and soundbars that are specifically designed for seamless integration into any home environment.
Take, for example, our Glare Free technology, now available across models in our OLED, Neo QLED 4K, Neo QLED 8K, and Micro RGB TV series. We’ve continued to improve this technology so CIs can bring premium picture quality to any room in the home, whether it’s a dark home theater or a living room with a bunch of windows. At the same time, each of these models use AI to optimize picture and sound as you watch and even upscale older content into 4K or 8K resolution.
The Frame series is a standout for its ability to blend with your aesthetic and display famous artwork. Now, we also offer The Frame Pro with an advanced Neo QLED 4K display and our most advanced 4K processor. As a result, The Frame Pro delivers improved picture quality, and it continues to support colors so rich they’re validated by Pantone, the industry-leading color experts. Plus, The Frame Pro sports our new Wireless One Connect Box to hide all your inputs up to 30 feet away — making it even easier to install.
And on the soundbar front, our new HW-QS700F offers a totally convertible design — delivering powerful sound whether mounted flat against a wall or laid flat on a table. Its built-in integrated gyro sensor will optimize sound based on how its setup, without compromising on audio quality. It’s also even thinner than standard soundbars when you mount it, making it a great design choice for various spaces.
What will you focus on at the show?
We know clients are increasingly looking for larger and larger screens. That’s why a big highlight will be the expansion of our super big TV lineup, which now includes the 115-inch Class Neo QLED 4K (QN90F) and the world-first Samsung Micro RGB TV, also in a 115-inch class size.
Micro RGB TV represents an entirely new category of premium TV. It’s the world’s first to precisely control micro-sized red, green, and blue (RGB) color backlights. As a result, we achieved richer color expression than ever before possible. In fact, Micro RGB TV hits an incredible 100% of the BT2020 color gamut, raising the bar for color accuracy, brightness, and contrast.
The 115-inch QN90F is the largest display in our flagship Neo QLED series, backed by our most powerful NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor. With Glare Free technology, every detail appears crisp and clear on the massive screen. Plus, these screens and all Samsung screens above 85 inches uniquely offer Supersize Picture Enhancer. This Samsung-exclusive feature improves clarity and reduces noise, so you can go bigger without the blur. Bright and beautiful, both of these super big screens will for sure turn heads on the CEDIA show floor.
