Q&A with Bryan Biga, vice president, residential sales, DMF Lighting and HK Lighting.
Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2026?
CEDIA Expo is where our dealer and integrator network comes to see what’s next. We’re showcasing Artafex 1, our first true one-inch downlight built for multiple applications, alongside our full Artafex PhaseX and Artafex Linear lineup. We’re also bringing HK Lighting’s latest outdoor and landscape solutions to the booth, so dealers can see the full picture, indoors and out, in one place. If there’s one idea tying all of it together this year, it’s DMF’s promise of artful lighting for everyday luxury, whether that’s the fixtures themselves, how easily they fit into a dealer’s existing control platform, or how simple they are to service after the job’s done. Artafex 1 and two HK Lighting products were just named finalists in the Manufacturer category of the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards, and DMF is also a finalist for Excellence in Business. Lani Godfrey, one of our sales reps, is a finalist for Best Sales Representative, too, and that one might be my favorite part of the news. It’s also my first CEDIA stepping into this role, and there’s no better place to connect face-to-face with the dealers and partners who’ve built DMF’s reputation in the technology integration channel, and to build on the foundation we have established here.
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
Interoperability is the trend I’m watching most closely. Dealers want DMF’s lighting solutions to integrate seamlessly with the leading control platform of their choice, whether that’s Crestron, Control4, or another popular control system. That’s exactly the standard we’ve built Artafex PhaseX to meet: Dealers keep the freedom to choose their control partner, and DMF still delivers great lighting performance.
What will you focus on at the show?
My focus is on getting in front of as many dealers as possible on the floor. Also, the Artafex PhaseX training sessions we are offering on September 2 and 3 at the Hyatt Regency Mineral Hall B – C present a perfect opportunity to connect directly with integrators about how our expanded Artafex PhaseX ecosystem fits into their projects as DMF stays focused on developing the ultimate lighting solutions to satisfy their clients.
