In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA Expo.

Q&A with David Tovissi, vice president and GM, Harman Luxury Audio.

Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2026?
CEDIA Expo is where our channel lives, and having spent years on the other side of this business as a retailer and later an integrator, I don’t take that access for granted. This year means even more to us because we’re marking two milestones, JBL’s 80th anniversary and ARCAM’s 50th. Rather than build a booth around that story, we set up Meeting Room 207 as a place where dealers and press can sit down with the designers and engineers who actually built our newest products and ask them why. Those conversations shape what we build next.

What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
The trend I’m most excited about is how much more is possible now in rooms where in-wall installation is not a viable option: additions, renovations, rentals, and spaces where a client wants the flexibility to rearrange things later. Those clients still expect reference-level sound, and that’s exactly why we built the new SCL Series to deliver it in-room and on-wall, not just in-wall. It’s a genuine luxury alternative for the high-end projects that used to mean compromise.

What will you focus on at the show?
Two things: the products and the people. We’re bringing JBL Synthesis’ full new SCL Custom Loudspeaker lineup, including our first on-wall models, SCL-9 and SCL-9XL, and the SDP-70 processor, along with ARCAM’s new Radia AV Amplifier Series. Just as important, our designers and engineers will be in Meeting Room 207 to talk through why we built them the way we did. Anniversaries like JBL’s 80th and ARCAM’s 50th are worth marking, but the best way I know how to do that is by staying close to the dealers actually selling and installing this gear.
