Leon Speakers believes that it has transformed its soundbar lineup with a new powered, ultra-thin, custom soundbar, called Horizon OTO. This is the first active soundbar in the company’s Horizon Series, combining a dynamic audio platform with customization.

Leon Speakers’ Horizon OTO soundbar

“Before there was a category known as the ‘soundbar’, there was the Leon Horizon Series,” said Noah Kaplan, president of Leon Speakers. “From our earliest days, we set out to enhance the TV experience by offering a high-fidelity, custom-crafted audio solution to integrators that was built to match flat-panel displays. Now, we’ve taken that vision one step further. Not only is the new Horizon OTO soundbar custom built to match the display, but it offers 50 watts of power and easily connects to the TV and subwoofer with digital optical inputs and wireless outputs to give you the freedom to design it into any space.”

At the heart of the Horizon HzOTO soundbar is a high-fidelity 2×50-watt on-board amplifier. The OTO amp provides clean, distortion-free power enabling the highest level of output from the speaker, the company says. It features both an optical input (for Dolby Digital or PCM) and analog stereo inputs to integrate with other components. Its rear IR input jack and front-panel IR receiver can be tied into any control system, while the front touch panel and included remote provide auxiliary control.

At less than two inches deep and only 4.5 inches tall, the Horizon HzOTO is purposefully designed for ultra slim TVs. The soundbar also features a new, enhanced audio platform, pairing 3-inch aluminum cone woofers with cloth-dome tweeters. The rear-ported design allows the speaker to develop bass response down to 70Hz. If more bass is a requirement, an internal wireless transmitter will pair with Leon’s new wireless subwoofer receiver (sold separately) to add any of Leon’s Aaros Series subs to the system.

The Horizon OTO cabinet is built to order, handcrafted from solid MDF and custom-tailored to match the exact width and finish of any display. It can be mounted on the wall or to any TV with Leon’s proprietary mounting brackets.

The Horizon HzOTO soundbar will be available October 2013 for an MSRP of $2,895 and comes complete with an optical cable, an AC power cable, and a remote control. Leon Speakers is exhibiting in Booth 3620 at CEDIA EXPO.
