If you’ve ever felt like your integration company could go from good to great if only you had a few more management tools and the proper guidance, then there’s an opportunity that you won’t want to miss. A new contest, cosponsored by Media Environment Design, the ShinerGroup, and Residential Systems, will give one lucky integration owner a free year-long business makeover to help take his or her already successful company to the next level.

This Business Makeover Program was created to overhaul a business’ overall company processes for improved efficiency, profitability, and greater success in today’s market. It combines the expertise of several industry consultants adept at helping businesses improve their processes and succeed in the areas of sales and marketing, design and engineering, and operations and finance.

One company will be selected and then “made over” by this team of industry experts. Every aspect of the selected company will be scrutinized, and the consultants will help create a detailed plan of action–a roadmap to achieve greater success. The business will be trained and coached along the way to ensure that new processes are understood and correctly implemented.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the Business Makeover Program to help optimize the business process of the selected company,” stated Media Environment Design’s Ryan Brown. “The [ShinerGroup’s] Leslie Shiner and I will work together and use a dynamic process to provide the appropriate mix of business tools and services to the selected company. The process will begin with an in-depth discovery of the company’s current operations to determine the areas requiring most attention. A plan of action will be developed to optimize the company’s processes, streamline operations, and build a foundation for future success.”

The program’s consultants will select a candidate that already has a somewhat healthy business with a reasonable opportunity for continued success. The goal for this program is not to save a dying company but to make a moderately healthy company thrive and become more profitable.

The services provided to the company will ultimately depend on its specific needs. While Media Environment Design’s focus will be on building an effective sales, design, and engineering process, the ShinerGroup will finetune the financial management and operations components of the selected company.

“We’re looking forward to helping the business owner learn how to use accurate financials to enhance their processes, including managing cash flow, controlling slippage, and analyzing pricing with the ultimate goal of improving profitability,” Shiner stated.
