Custom installation industry veteran Jim Pelech has been hired as Russound’s senior director of global sales, reporting to CEO, Charlie Porritt.
In his new position, Pelech is responsible for managing Russound’s sales initiatives, including dealer, distributor, and sales representative relationships across the globe.
“Jim is the type of professional who brings the perfect mix of sales and technology acumen to his job,” Porritt said. “He has a deep understanding of the industry than can only come from experience on both sides of the fence—manufacturing as well as a successful sales rep firm. His bulletproof knowledge of the market will no doubt be an asset to our customers at all levels, and an important step forward for our brand.”
Pelech joins Russound after serving as director, CI and distribution, at Sound United, where he helped define the company’s B2B-facing brand experience by building relationships with leading sales representatives, distribution, and dealer partners. Sound United is comprised of Denon, Polk Audio, Marantz, Definitive Technology, HEOS, Classé, and Boston Acoustics.
Prior to Sound United, he held management positions with WyreStorm Technologies, the McClatchy Digital Marketing Agency, and Current Audio. Earlier in his career, Pelech founded New Image Marketing, a successful manufacturers representative firm based in Chicago, IL.
