San Francisco, CA–LeisureTech Electronics, owner of A-BUS distributed audio technology, was granted a preliminary injunction against Greyfox Systems.
The ruling prevents structured wiring company, Greyfox Systems Inc., from using LeisureTech’s A-BUS trademarks on Greyfox products or passing off as an A-BUS product, products that are not LeisureTech’s genuine authorized A-BUS product.
On May 12, 2004, Judge White of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California granted LeisureTech’s application for a preliminary injunction and ordered that Greyfox be restrained from further marketing, selling or shipping any merchandise using the A-BUS mark or otherwise making any false or misleading statements regarding any connection between Greyfox products and genuine LeisureTech A-BUS products.
A-BUS technology utilizes a single Category 5 cable to carry signal, data, IR and power to amplified keypads in each room. This approach places the amplifiers closer to the speakers.
