AMX Appoints New Board Member

AMX has tapped a retired lieutenant general to join its board of directors and steer its efforts to enter the government market.

Richardson, TX–AMX has appointed retired Lt. Gen. John “Jack” Woodmansee, Jr., to its board of directors. A 33-year veteran of the U.S. Army, AMX has enlisted Woodmansee’s extensive technology experience to help strengthen and guide its initiatives in the government market.

Woodmansee is the current president and CEO of Tactical and Rescue Gear Ltd., which manufacturers and sells a wide variety of products and equipment to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and local law enforcement around the country.

Since retiring from active duty, Woodmansee has served on both the Army Science Board and the Defense Science Board. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Culver Educational Foundation, the Board of Advisors for U.S. Detection Technologies Inc., and the U.S. Army Aviation Association of America’s Hall of Fame.
