At first glance, the Strada 2 looks like its predecessor. However, underneath the bold look is an updated driver technology and a new drive circuit for the proprietary CDT 3 tweeter. The Strada 2’s dispersion/wave launch pattern has also been recalibrated to project a holographic sound field into the listening area regardless of room acoustics. In addition, the efficiency of the new Strada 2 is up 95 percent and will play just as loud as its previous incarnation using just half the input power.

“I was very excited when we developed the original Strada, but the new version goes places I didn’t think were possible,” says Anthony Gallo, founder of AGA. “What impressed me most was the Strada 2’s ability to make most bad recordings still sound enjoyable and better recordings sound amazing. From whisper-soft volume levels to extremely loud, the speakers create a vivid, crystal-clear 3D soundstage that resonated with me at an emotional level like I’ve never experienced before. That’s when I knew we had a real winner.”

The changes incorporated into the Strada 2 now enable them to perform equally well up close on a desktop or in stereo/home-theater systems, regardless of room size or mounting options.

In addition, the company is also introducing the latest incarnation of its Ti Series of Micro’s and A’Diva’s with the Micro SE and A’Diva SE (Special Edition), which are enclosed in 4-inch- and 5-inch-diameter all-metal spheres respectively. One of the benefits of the new speakers’ technology is the ability to present a vivid, 3D soundstage regardless of your listening position, the company said.

These new SE speakers utilize a proprietary, ultra-wide dispersion, flat-diaphragm transducer, which covers a frequency range from 80Hz to 22kHz (A’Diva SE). And, because there is only one single driver, the Micro SE and A’Diva SE have no need for a crossover, which invariably hurts the sound. The SE’s also utilize the company’s OPT (optimized pulse technology) and patented S2 damping-control pods, which eliminate all fatiguing colorations, enclosure resonances, and distortions. AGA recommends pairing these with their new TR-1D or TR-3D subwoofer for a complete, audiophile-grade desktop, stereo, or home theater system.
