Atlona, a digital connectivity solutions provider, is now shipping its new family of HDBaseT solutions.
Designed to provide the ultimate in HD connectivity to both residential and commercial applications over a common connector cable, the HDBaseT extender family offers higher resolutions at longer distances, Power over Category cable (PoCc), and multiple control options. A variety of form factors and connectors are available to meet the exact needs of any installation.
The new extender family is comprised of the following solutions: RSNET for longer distances and complete control; ROADNET for rental and staging applications; and DVI RSNET for electronics with DVI connectors. Also available are Wall Plate (WP) applications in both U.S. and U.K. form factor extenders for use behind displays. In addition, IR is available for applications that require only IR control and HD is provided for applications that rely on local control. All units are compatible with Atlona PRO3HD matrix switchers and HDCAT distribution amplifiers.
“Our new HDBaseT family of extenders brings our customers the flexibility, performance capabilities, and durability to handle today’s most ambitious HD installations,” said Steve Heintz, senior product manager, Atlona. “The HDBaseT DVI receiver and transmitter ensure that connections are never compromised, while our recently-released ROADNET transmitter and receiver are built to withstand the rigors of today’s temporary rental and staging applications. When combined with PoCc technology, RS-232, bidirectional IR, and Ethernet pass-through, our new HDBaseT units provide more simplicity, control, and security to a wide range of HD applications.”
Engineered especially for high-resolution, HDMI-compatible electronics, the AT-DVIRX-RSNET HDBaseT RX DVI receiver features DVI connectors instead of HDMI connectors to take advantage of the connector retention screws demanded by many applications. Ideal for electronics such as those used in sensitive medical applications, the unit also provides HDMI transmission for embedded audio when supported by both sources and displays. When paired with the AT-DVITX-RSNET HDBaseT TX DVI transmitter, installers obtain easy interoperability with third-party controls, resulting in hassle-free compatibility with all major systems. For added convenience, the unit’s Ethernet channel can also be used with any LAN connection.
Atlona’s HDBaseT AT-HDTX-ROADNET transmitter and AT-HDRX-ROADNET receiver feature extra-robust Neutrik etherCON RJ45 connectors to withstand the demands of live performances and temporary installations over long distances. Their quick-connect power supply allows for faster setups and breakdowns, enabling more efficient workflows for installers. Atlona’s new HDBaseT products also support Ultra HD (4Kx2K) resolutions, provide RS-232 support, feature IR control at distances of up to 328 feet, and are equipped with PoCc for simpler provision of power and signal strength.
