One week after Philips Pronto officially announced to dealers that it was discontinuing its line of remote control products, URC issued a statement offering training and exclusive product discounts to former Pronto dealers.

The URC MX-880

URC’s one-hour webinars, scheduled for Thursday, November 11, at 3:00 p.m. EST, and Friday, November 12 (two sessions) – 8 a.m. EST and 11:00 a.m. EST, have been designed to help dealers “begin the transition from Philips Pronto control products” to the URC line, according to the company.

All “genuine” Pronto dealers who attend one of these seminars will be allowed to purchase a URC remote control at a special price.

To qualify as a genuine Pronto dealer a dealer must provide a copy of a legitimate invoice or receipt for a Philips Pronto remote control that was purchased in the name of a dealership within the past six months. URC reserves the right to limit quantities and to disqualify suspicious documentation.

The URC MX-5000
Each URC webinar session will explain which remotes can replace the Pronto models that are being discontinued, and will provide instruction for using CCP, URC’s universal programming platform.

All attendees first must join (or be members of) URC University. It’s free and so are the webinars. (Members the Control Room must still sign up for URC University.)

Genuine Pronto dealers may purchase either a URC MX-880 or MX-5000 as described below.

MX-880, Retail: $499.99, Special Price: $75

MX-5000, Retail: $1199.99, Special Price: $199

Integrates IP cameras, lighting (Lutron), HVAC and Windows Media PC ? Ingeniously engineered ergonomic design for convenient, one-hand operation.
