Audio Video Design to Host 35th Anniversary Event

Newton, Massachusetts — When Audio Video Design celebrates its 35th anniversary on Saturday, May 2, 2009, dozens of industry experts will be on hand to demonstrate and explain a full range of home technology and entertainment innovations, including a “guiltless” home theater that uses solar panels for more than 20 hours of viewing.

“We have assembled many of the best-of-class consumer electronics experts for a fabulous event that will be both instructional and fun,” said Brad Smith, president of Audio Video Design. “This is a great event for anyone who wants to see and understand the newest technologies in home automation.”

National manufacturers recognize Audio Video Design as a pioneer in the industry that began as sophisticated home entertainment, then evolved as a way of efficiently integrating home systems such as security, lighting and HVAC.

“When we invited the experts to join us in a one-day exhibition celebrating a milestone birthday, they really came through,” Smith said.

Smith is inviting clients and potential clients to come by and “see what happens when high-end design meets high technology for the home,” while speaking with factory representatives who can discuss the future of home electronics and answer questions about the direction of television, home theater, and green technology.

Audio Video Design is New England’s oldest and largest custom home electronics contractor, headquartered in Newton, with offices on Cape Cod and Nantucket.

The 35th Birthday Event on May 2 will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Newton showroom, located at 170 Needham Street. This 12,500-square-foot design center features a series of elegant rooms showing real-life applications for entertainment and integrated home electronics.
