If you have an Android phone and are frustrated with HDMI troubleshooting, then AudioControl has an app for you.

The Washington State manufacturer’s new HD Sleuth app has been designed to relieve the suffering of HDMI, whether you have no video, no audio, or intermittent audio and video from your system. The HD Sleuth controls the troubleshooting process to give answers and not rely on the luck of trial and error, the company says.

“I have heard HDMI described as another four letter word that begins with H,” said Tom Walker, AudioControl president. “We want to relieve some of the agony. As an USA factory making HDMI extenders, as well as home theater receivers and pre-amps, we have expertise in troubleshooting intricate installations. That expertise is captured in this Android phone app!”

The HD Sleuth is really three apps in one, Walker said. One section is for problems of no video, while a second section addresses no audio, and the third is for the frustrating problem of intermittent audio and video. With the HD Sleuth, the user gets to the core of the problem and finds solutions quickly.

The AudioControl HD Sleuth is currently available on the Android Market for only $3.99.
