Mountlake Terrace, WA–Attendees of the upcoming Electronic House Expo can participate in a virtual three-point contest for one of three basketballs autographed by legendary NCAA announcer, Dick Vitale, as part of a “Demo Alley” home theater featuring AudioControl, Da-Lite Screens, Sim2 USA, and Triad Loudspeakers. Contestants will compete at the video game contest in the high-performance theater, complete with 1080p resolution and nine-channel surround sound.
The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, will once again be the home court for the Electronic House Expo (EHX), March 8-10. AudioControl, Da-Lite Screens, Sim2 USA, and Triad Loudspeakers are creating this home theater as a part of Demo Alley in Demo Room #6. Attendees will be amazed at how great equipment in a properly engineered and calibrated environment can put you right in the middle of the action, whether it’s a sporting event, a favorite movie, or video game.
Individuals attending the show are invited to audition some of the industry’s most advanced home theater equipment, with demonstrations running consecutively throughout each of the show’s three days. At the conclusion of each demonstration, individuals will be selected to take part in the three-point competition using a PS3 game console. The participant with the highest score at the end of each day will win a basketball autographed by famed college basketball announcer Dick Vitale.
The demo theater itself will be the result of months of planning and preparation by the manufacturer partners, along with the talent and knowledge of three HAA and ISF-Certified theater designers.
AudioControl’s Perfection Home Theater components will drive the sound of the room, including Maestro Pre-Pro, Diva Digital Room Correction System, Pantages five-channel and Avalon two-channel amplifiers.
Da-Lite Screens will have a 2:35 screen with masking technology to capture the essence of the theater experience in a home environment.
Sim2 USA will showcase its Grand Cinema HT5000 projector, the first three-chip 1080p DLP model designed specifically for home theater. It combines the full resolution and clarity of the 1080p video standard (1920×1080) with the remarkable color reproduction, contrast, and brightness of a three-chip configuration.
Triad will be showcasing its Gold LCR and Platinum PowerSub in this multi-channel demonstration. The Gold LCR features proprietary drivers and an overbuilt, acoustically inert enclosure for low distortion, high sensitivity and high power handling. The Platinum PowerSub features a long throw 18-inch driver and a 1000-watt amplifier in a rock solid enclosure that offers powerful and articulate bass at all playback levels in any application.
