In an effort to strengthen its business development team, AVAD has appointed consumer electronics industry veterans Gene Hurdle and Patrick Donnelly.
Hurdle will serve as the business development team as a senior manager, and Donnelly as a manager.
“Having the opportunity to bring Gene and Patrick onto the team at AVAD will greatly benefit our dealers and vendors,” said Jim Annes, vice president and general manager of AVAD. “Gene and Patrick both come to AVAD with an extensive background in our industry and each has a proven track record of success when it comes to developing, implementing, and managing sales and marketing programs that allow our customers and partners to succeed.”
Twenty-eight of Hurdle’s 30 years in the CE business were spent at Bose Corp., where he held numerous management positions in sales, marketing, and business development, both nationally and internationally.
Donnelly has been involved in the electrical industry, including the residential and commercial markets, for over 30 years. He has an extensive background in the custom electronics industry, having spent nine years as the director of training for OnQ/Legrand.
