AVAD has announced the opening of three new branches in Houston, TX, Englewood, CO, and Charlotte, NC. AVAD has also hired David Short as territory account manager for Northern California, as well as promotion of Jeff Neilson, manager of purchasing and planning for North America, and Mark Spector, sales manager for the National and Large Accounts team.
AVAD’s new locations will provide sales and consultation services as well as a just-in-time inventory assortment. The company anticipates more branch openings in the coming months. David Short is an accomplished sales and marketing leader, previously serving as the director of sales and marketing at Digital Home Suppliers and director of worldwide marketing at Velodyne Acoustics. Short brings tremendous knowledge from his time with several successful Silicon Valley start-ups, including Netflix.
Jeff Neilson will lead procurement and demand planning while supporting product lifecycle management and AVAD’s growing distribution network. Mark Spector will immediately focus on AVAD’s current NLA customers and will also assume responsibility for managing relationships and business with the buying groups and other larger, non-traditional custom installation accounts.
