AVAD debuted Vendopalooza Plus, an event that combines all of the familiar dealer benefits of the popular touring trade event for residential solutions, plus access to leading commercial product lines. The premiere event was held on February 17, 2015, at Club Auto Sport, a tech-driven 10,000 sq. ft. event center in San Jose, CA, offering the backdrop of a classic car showcase.
“AVAD customer feedback has been full of questions from formerly residential-only dealers interested in more commercial projects, and now Vendopalooza Plus delivers it,” said Lei Lei Trock, senior marketing manager of AVAD. “We’re approaching our 100th Vendopalooza event, and the biggest influencer of our evolution is giving our customers what they need to be successful. The levels of training and product access available at Vendopalooza Plus are the best in the industry.”
Visitors to Vendopalooza Plus can attend a number of trainings and workshops throughout the day, including a session on best practices in commercial audio system design hosted by Bill Raimondi that is eligible for InfoComm CTS credit for continuing industry education. Phil Parrish, manager of the AVAD System Design Group, will also present Digital Signage 201 to inform integrators about useful tools for creating captivating signage content to take signage projects to the next level. Other courses will include IP Networking Made Easy by Kevin Hansen, vice president of sales for Luxul, as well as platform demonstrations by the experts from RTI and Ubiquiti Networks.
AVAD will give away more than $3,500 worth of prizes to customers at the event, including a 48” Samsung HDTV. Common to recent Vendopaloozas, Middle Atlantic will also host a rack building competition, which has become an increasingly popular feature of the event series. 47 manufacturers will be in attendance to demonstrate new technology and talk to dealers. The featured partners for this event include AKG, BSS by Harman, dbx, Crown, JBL Professional, Soundcraft, NEC, Samsung, Sharp, and SunBriteTV.
