AVAD LLC now offers the Samsung Evolution Kit, a new retrofit device that enables the previous generation of Smart TVs to evolve into Samsung’s new 2013 Smart TVs.
Once installed, the plug-and-play Evolution Kit allows consumers to enjoy all of the latest features that the 2013 product line has to offer, including new user interfaces, controls and entertainment options.
The Smart Evolution Kit provides dealers with a new product they can offer customers that will allow them to update the software that runs on their display without having to buy a new TV. This enables dealers to incorporate new features and enhancements into existing TVs that would ordinarily require a costly hardware upgrade.
The 2013 Smart Evolution kit includes a quad-core processor, GPU and memory for faster processing and multi-tasking. Improvements to the rich feature set and user interface experience include the updated Smart Hub, which adds media navigation and a more personally tailored viewing experience for organizing entertainment, accessing apps and video on demand services. The kit is also packaged with the 2013 Smart Touch Remote, which features a large trackpad and built in microphone for touch and voice control options.

The kit fits into the evolution slot on the back of the popular 2012 Samsung 7500 and 8000 Series LED TVs, as well as Samsung Series 7000 and 8000 Plasma TVs, and updates them with some of the latest features and functions included in the newest Samsung models. 2013 F7500 LED and above models and F8500 Plasma TVs also include a Smart Evolution slot.
Adding to Samsung’s 2013 Smart TV accessory lineup, the Smart Evolution kit joins two HWF series 2.1 channel soundbars—the 310 watt Bluetooth-enabled HWF750 and the 280 watt HWF450—to provide a full continuum of supplementary products for the company’s successful HDTV product line. The wall-mountable soundbars utilize Dolby Digital and DTS decoders, 3D Sound Plus technology and HDMI or USB support to easily pair with any Samsung Smart TV or integrate into a whole home audio system to boost the resulting acoustic performance.
