AVPro Global Holdings has announced that the AVProConnect brand, known for its extensive line of 18Gbps 4K60 (4:4:4) video distribution products, has officially changed its name to AVPro Edge. This change, effective immediately, will be implemented across all products and services that the company provides but will allow it to move forward with broader spectrum of AV solutions, according to Jeff Murray, AVPro Global Holdings president and CEO.
“Since the release of our first product, AVProConnect has been at the forefront of video distribution technology,” Murray said in a statement to dealers. “Our AVPro brand has grown naturally with the forward progressing market of 4K and HDR distribution. We feel now is the perfect time to transition AVProConnect into a powerful symbol of high bandwidth audio/video distribution with AVPro Edge. We strive to provide you, the integrator, with an edge, an edge over competitors with fairly priced 4K & HDR distribution products.”
According to Murray AVPro Edge, the brand is already developing new video distribution products capable of handling HDMI 2.1 and will continue to deliver “superior engineering, products, and support.”
