Azione Buying Group Adds Sonos and James Loudspeaker

Both Brands Look to Enhance Custom Integration Relationships Through Partnership

In its continuing quest to provide dealer members with preeminent brands, emerging technologies, and insights, Azione Unlimited has announced that Sonos has chosen Azione as its buying group in the custom electronics industry and that James Loudspeaker, known for its customized architectural loudspeakers capabilities, also has joined the group.

“Joining Azione Unlimited is our first official association with a buying group within the CEDIA space – it’s an important step for us,” said Andrew Vloyanetes, head of sales at Sonos. “We are committed to building stronger relationships with the channel and this is one more step in our commitment to the professional residential installer. Sonos will be actively attending and participating in the Azione events, engaging with Azione dealers in new ways, and soliciting feedback from Azione partners throughout the year.”

Azione and Sonos’ partnership addresses developing and evolving trends in the smart home industry, including the growth of voice control, smart speakers, and great sounding music and sound for every room.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sonos as our newest ‘Perfect Partner.’ Not only are they one of the most sought-after brands, they have the vision and resources the industry needs to support the ever-evolving audio category,” said Richard Glikes, president of Azione Unlimited.

Sonos’ whole-home sound system will be available to Azione dealers and their customers starting this Spring.

As for James Loudspeaker, Glikes says that brand will “beautifully address a niche” for the group’s members, providing standard and customized architectural speaker solutions. “From their Small Aperture speakers to their home theater and landscape products, James Loudspeaker is a welcome addition to the Azione product mix,” he said.

Unlike most audio brands, James Loudspeaker maintains a headquarters in Napa, CA, that houses product design, engineering, and manufacturing. Having all of these resources under one roof enables the manufacturer to create hundreds of custom products every year to accommodate the needs of integration specialists. Now Azione members will have access to the brand for residential, commercial, and marine installations. James Loudspeaker also offers outdoor (landscape) systems as well as cinema-quality solutions for dedicated home theater and the growing media room category.
