Peabody, MA — Boston Acoustics unveiled several new programs designed to enhance the customer service experience for the company’s valued base of custom integration professionals.
Among today’s announcements is a program that will provide integrators with automatic product upgrades to similar models in the event an original custom-designated model ordered is out of stock, as well as a number of enhancements to the supply chain process to ensure quicker delivery to integrators. These initiatives are the first in a planned series of enhancements and adjustments designed to bring Boston Acoustics custom installation customers an even higher level of “best in class” service.
Boston Acoustics senior vice president of sales and marketing, Phil Cohn, noted: “At this year’s CEDIA EXPO, we listened closely to feedback about ways that we could improve our service to our valued custom installation customers. One of the chief concerns we heard was how vital it is for them to receive their orders on a more timely basis, so they can meet their strict construction and installation schedules. With this in mind, we developed a series of new policies that will streamline and simplify our ordering and shipping processes, with the goal of making sure that every order is received on schedule. All these new policies reflect our ongoing commitment to the CI channel, and are designed to complement our introduction of a broad new line of advanced loudspeakers geared toward custom installation.”
In order to make sure the integrators receive product for installation by the requested delivery date, the company is instituting automatic product upgrade policy for all designated custom-installation products. If Boston Acoustics does not have a requested product in stock in time for scheduled delivery, the company will automatically upgrade that dealer’s order to the next highest model in the line (subject to availability).
In addition, Boston Acoustics has enhanced its expedited shipping program. For orders qualifying for expedited freight with a specific delivery date, the company will adjust the shipping method from three-day, to two-day, or even one-day shipping in order to get it delivered by the requested date. Furthermore, all custom-installation orders qualifying for expedited shipment that are placed by 3PM Eastern time (and credit-approved) will ship to customers on the same day.
Finally, in order to help custom integrators better track their order while in delivery, Boston Acoustics is finalizing a new e-mail notification system that will alert reps and dealers as soon as an order is shipped. In order for Boston Acoustics to continue providing the best possible service for all its customers, the company’s new custom-installation friendly policies are all subject to improvement and modification in the future.
Boston Acoustics recently announced the upcoming introduction of over 25 new in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers geared toward the custom integration marketplace. The majority of the company’s new in-wall and in-ceiling speakers feature new grilles that magnetically attach to their baffles, allowing for quicker and easier installation, plus a dramatic 70-percent reduction in the size of the visible bezel for a slimmer look all the way around and a significantly more flush mount to ceiling and walls. Boston Acoustics’ wide range of new in-wall and in-ceiling speakers includes models in the company’s new flagship VS Series, as well as its new Classic Series and Horizon Series. The broad selection gives custom installers an unprecedented range of options for providing their customers with the highest quality sound, in virtually invisible systems.
