Boston Acoustics Taps Three New Execs

The loudspeaker manufacturer boosts its executive line up with two new hires and the promotion of one its own.

Peabody, MA–Boston Acoustics has expanded its executive roster with the addition of two members and the promotion of a third. Eli Harary assumes global responsibilities in the newly created position of senior vice president, general manager, while Dan Anagnos has joined the company as vice president of product development and engineering. Phil Cohn has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of sales and marketing for home and mobile products.

A 30-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry, Harary most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for the Infinity home speaker brand. He has also held a variety of executive-level marketing and product development positions for Infinity, JBL, and Harman with both domestic and global responsibilities. He will relocate with his family to Massachusetts from Long Island, New York.

An 18-year industry veteran with expertise in strategic sales planning and channel management, Cohn has been instrumental in developing new processes and business strategies for the Boston brand. As senior vice president of sales and marketing for home and mobile products he will now expand his scope of responsibilities to include all marketing activities for the U.S. He previously held the position of vice president of sales for ReplayTV and Rio Audio and a number of strategic sales and management roles with Sony Electronics and Samsung Electronics. He holds a B.S. and an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

With over two decades of international experience and expertise in strategic product planning, product development and engineering design, Anagnos will lead and oversee Boston’s worldwide product development effort. Throughout his many years at Polk Audio, Sony Electronics and as a consultant to various consumer electronics clients, Anagnos has been responsible for a significant number of successful, internationally acclaimed audio products for the consumer and professional markets throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He holds a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and 14 U.S. and international patents in the audio field.
