Sound Developments Ltd. has launched in the United States as a distributor targeting the custom integration channel, after serving Canada for the past 15 years.
Along with a central warehouse stocked with products that are delivered next-day to all 48 contiguous states, Sound Developments boasts a nationwide network of 35 independent representatives who are charged with fostering dealer relationships, providing product training, and offering brand management.
President Barry Wosk said that he is excited about his company’s expansion into the U.S. “We’re thrilled to bring our successful and efficient, value-add model, proven for nearly 15 years in Canada, to the United States at a time when it seems everyone else is focused on cost-cutting, local warehousing, and a race to add brands,” he said. “We’re way more than just fulfillment.”
Wosk added that to ensure delivery of value to its partners, his company will focus on a small number of brands, with no overlap, while looking to serve all important categories for our dealers. “We opened our doors March 1 and look forward to changing the distribution landscape in a good way,” he said.
To support its efforts, Sound Developments will have a significant presence at CEDIA EXPO 2013 in Denver September 26-28 and invites dealers to come see why they’re different.
Brands available at launch include A/Vaux, Gefen, IDOCX, and Schneider Electric.
