This includes both the Sivoia QS wireless and Serena versions of the battery-powered shade, both of which represent a high profit margin for installers, according to the company.
Capitol showcased Sivoia QS at its booth during the CEDIA EXPO in Indianapolis. The company also offered information on Lutron’s qualification requirements, which include purchasing a demo kit (also available through Capitol) and completing a free, two-hour online training course. The training, which will eventually be available as part of Capitol’s Learning Institute, also includes access to a honeycomb-only Shade Configuration Tool (SCT) dedicated to marketing, specifying, selling, installing, and maintaining these shading solutions.
The Sivoia QS version of the shade is compatible with the Lutron RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks total home control systems, making shades an easy add-on to any Lutron whole-home system sale or offered as a stand-alone solution.
“Lutron honeycomb shading solutions are an important addition for our customers,” said Curt Hayes, president and CFO of Capitol. “Lutron already has a great reputation in the residential market, generating plenty of demand for this potentially profitable product line.”
