Capitol will offer a special comprehensive training session on the new RadioRA 2 total light control system.

As part of the Capitol Learning Institute’s ongoing program to support progressive integrators and installers, the Lutron Basic Lighting and Sales Training (BLAST) will be held on Tuesday, October 18, at Capitol’s training facility in Eagan, MN.

RadioRA 2 represents the third evolution of RF lighting control performance, utilizing Clear Connect RF technology – Lutron’s latest and most-advanced RF communication protocol. Experts from Lutron will conduct the full-day BLAST session, which will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants will receive RadioRA 2 L1-level accreditation and certificate, CEDIA CEU credits, access to the RadioRA 2 “Essentials” software package, and special pricing from Capitol on RadioRA 2 system packages.

“At Capitol, we understand that our success is based on our customers’ success,” said Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s director of strategic development. “That is why we go beyond simply serving as a distributor for retailers and electronic systems contractors and offer programs that will not only provide our customers with the hands-on training and certification they need to leverage these latest innovations, but we also help them develop the sales strategies and tools necessary to tap these new markets.”

The class will include a look at the impact of “green” and how it relates to lighting and shade control as well as make the business case for RadioRA 2 and the mid-market retrofit opportunity. An interactive system design workshop, hands-on programming utilizing the RadioRA 2 “Essentials” software package, introduction to the Sivoia QS Wireless shading and drapery system, and a module on how to sell total light control will also be provided.
