Capitol, the electronics distribution source for PRO AV and communication contractors, residential systems integrators, retailers and premium incentive resellers, now offers the complete selection of Panasonic’s new SIP telephones for the residential, home office, and small-to mid-sized business markets.

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phones are designed to be more cost-effective than traditional models, and Panasonic’s line of SIP corded and cordless phone systems come packed with features that make them essential for both residential and commercial end-users, the company says.

“It’s amazing to me just how much value is packed into the Panasonic SIP lineup,” said Capitol president and CFO, Curt Hayes. “As the face of Panasonic to CEDIA dealers, we’re proud to bring this remarkable series to installers and integrators of every size.”

Panasonic’s cordless SIP systems are Ethernet-based and expandable with up to 6 DECT 6.0 handsets, each with its own number. They are also IETF RFC 3261 SIP compliant and support G722 (Wideband), G711, G726, and G729 codecs. The company’s corded SIP systems are HD voice and PoE enabled and conferencing capable. Select models feature two data ports and can use wireless headsets.

Panasonic’s SIP phones support a variety of hosted and open-source PBX platforms. And with the inclusion of a two-year limited warranty, they are supported by the Panasonic national service network.

“The cost-savings and technological benefits of SIP phones are capturing the attention of end-users and businesses alike,” explained Bill Savino, marketing manager for Panasonic’s Business Communications Solutions. “Our friends at Capitol are in the perfect position to communicate the value of the line, in addition to providing customer service that continues to set an industry standard.”
