Capitol announced that it provided online Lutron BLAST certification on the new RadioRA 2 total light control system for 38 customers on January 26, 2012.
As part of its Capitol Learning Institute’s ongoing program to support progressive integrators and installers, experts from Lutron conducted their Basic Lighting and Sales Training (BLAST) via a special Webinar, opening up a new channel for the company’s training and certification program.
“As Capitol continues to grow as a nationwide distributor, we understand that it’s not always easy for our customers to get away for a few days of training, regardless of how valuable and vital it may be to them,” said Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s director of strategic development.
“We’ve had tremendous success with our Capitol Learning Institute training programs here at our special training facility in Eagan, Minnesota – particularly the Lutron BLAST RA 2 session we did back in October – so we decided to offer a Web-based option as an additional benefit to our customers,” Kussard said. “Given the success of this initial Webinar, we anticipate offering more online training programs as we continue to grow and expand the Capitol Learning Institute in 2012.”
RadioRA 2 represents the third evolution of RF lighting control performance, utilizing Clear Connect RF technology – Lutron’s latest and most-advanced RF communication protocol. Participants in the comprehensive Webinar received their RadioRA 2 L1-level accreditation and certificate, CEDIA CEU credits, access to the RadioRA 2 “Essentials” software package, and special pricing from Capitol on RadioRA 2 system packages.
