Utah-based Card Access Inc. says that its wireless home automation solutions for Control4 systems will now be available directly through the Control4 sales channel.
Card Access offers motion and pressure sensors and water leak detection and smart garage packages.
Control4 dealers now will have the ability to purchase Card Access solutions for their Control4 systems directly from Control4. Card Access products integrate with Control4 to wirelessly monitor doors, gates, windows, and temperature with contact sensors; open and close automatic doors, blinds and gates; raise or lower projector screens, turn fireplaces on and off with wireless contact relays; and create control solutions based on room occupancy, event triggers, and motion or pressure sensors; and much more. Card Access also offers products designed to improve the strength and performance of the ZigBee mesh network.
“The agreement with Card Access gives us the ability to offer a more streamlined purchase and implementation process for dealers while offering them the best solutions to enhance their installations,” said Jim Arnold, vice president of sales, Control4. “Card Access solutions have been designed solely to enhance the capabilities of the Control4 ecosystem, and the uniqueness of these products makes this a very exciting opportunity for us.”
Card Access has provided Control4-compatible home automation products for more than five years. In 2006, Card Access became the first company to develop and ship a third-party product designed specifically for the Control4 platform. Since then, savvy Control4 dealers and distributors have relied on Card Access products to extend Control4’s home automation and control capabilities. As an ongoing, active participant in the Control4 ecosystem, Card Access continues to develop and deliver home automation products and features demanded by dealers. Availability of Card Access products through the Control4 sales channel means more opportunities for more Control4 dealers through raised levels of product awareness.
“Card Access is thrilled to work with Control4 to provide more convenient access to our products for dealers and distributors worldwide,” said Kent Hansen, Card Access CEO. “Through many years of working side-by-side, this step is the perfect evolution of our ongoing business relationship with Control4 and its expanding ecosystem. It’s a win for everyone involved—especially the Control4 customer.”
