Cat Toomey, a well-known industry leader who has held top positions in three of the most prominent control and integration companies in the CEDIA channel, announced that her new marketing/communications company is accepting new clients. Named CATalyzing Communications, Inc., the venture was created in early 2016 and has been serving the home automation and lifestyle channels.

CATalyzing delivers turnkey global marketing and business solutions, both traditional and digital, plus website, public relations, communications, social media, loyalty and training programs, product management, partner and integration programs, and more. Billed as a one-stop source for brand growth at competitive prices, the company offers unique and creative services that range from short-term tactical projects to full-ranging strategic campaigns.

“Although I have broad experience outside the CE industry—particularly with ChaCha where we served the most prominent mass brands in the world including P&G, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Paramount Pictures, Sony and others, my heart still belongs to the CEDIA channel where I began,” Toomey said.

“I attended the very first CEDIA,” she continued. “You can’t imagine how great it feels to be heading to CEDIA 2016 to meet old friends and work together to fulfill their brand and business ambitions.”

“Cat has done extraordinary work for URC—first as a director of marketing and now as a consultant—for nearly six years,” said Chang K. Park, founder and CEO of URC and CEDIA’s 2016 lifetime achievement award winner. “She’s passionate about our industry and created a winning brand based on her knowledge. Cat has the highest ethical standards and deep understanding of the ins and outs of the CEDIA and CE channels as well as the many technical details of custom products.”
