CEDIA and NAHB Form Pact

The agreement is intended to help builders meet increased consumer demand for residential technologies.

Las Vegas, NV–NAHB and CEDIA have joined forces in an effort to connect builders and electronic systems contractors through the new Home Technology Alliance. This unprecedented agreement will deliver education, products, and services to help builders meet increased consumer demand related to residential technologies

The new program, which fits within NAHBs Custom Home Builders Committee, will focus on home technology integration, communicating the benefits of partnering with CEDIA Members and demonstrating the opportunities for providing better service to homeowners regarding technology.

During the 2006-2007 NAHBs Institute of Residential Marketing research project sponsored by CEDIA, NAHB, and CEDIA concluded that strengthening their relationship will be beneficial to their respective memberships, the industry and consumers.

Executives from both organizations were on hand to make the announcement at CEDIAs Electronic Lifestyles EXPO held this week in Las Vegas.
