By RS Staff Published: September 6, 2017 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 CEDIA exhibitors can support Hurricane Harvey responders by donating to the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center. The non-profit ITDRC provides critical tech services for communities facing disaster. Your organization can donate at itdrc.org. The Information Technology Disaster Resource Center is a nationwide, volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) that provides emergency communications and technology resources to communities in crisis. ITDRC serves as a clearinghouse for skills-based volunteers and in-kind technology services that benefit the whole community. ITDRC assets and volunteers are currently helping Hurricane Harvey responders in Texas and Louisiana. Offering VSAT connectivity, network infrastructure, workstations, hotspots, telephony, and radio communications, the ITDRC is a FEMA Tech Sector Collaboration Partner and is often one of the few conduits for responders and citizens to gain communications when they’re needed most. Your support enables ITDRC to quickly mobilize equipment and technical volunteers to connect survivors and responders after disasters.
