CEDIA EXPO Honored as a Top Trade Show

Indianapolis, IN — The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association’s CEDIA EXPO was honored by Trade Show Executive magazine as one of 100 shows that set the gold standard for the exposition industry. CEDIA EXPO was recognized as one of the largest shows of 2007 at Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards Gala & Summit September 17–19 in Laguna Niguel, CA.

’s Gold 100 awards recognize the year’s largest tradeshows as measured in square footage, economic contribution, innovation and green initiatives. CEDIA EXPO 2007 was ranked at number 72 with 318,159 square feet of exhibit space, 569 exhibiting companies and 29,230 attendees.

CEDIA EXPO, held annually since 1991, is the residential electronic systems industry’s premier event for new products, education and networking. The 2007 event marked the show’s greatest success to date, drawing record attendance in its second of three years at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

CEDIA EXPO’s gold ranking places the show in an elite group. More than 13,000 tradeshows are held each year in the U.S. according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research. Trade Show Executive found that the top 100 shows collectively drew nearly 200 million attendees and generated more than $2 billion in economic impact to the host cities.
