Registration for CEDIA EXPO 2014 has opened, offering not only a full schedule of training, but also after-hours social events and early-bird discounts.

The 2014 event will be hosted at the Colorado Convention Center September 10-13.

CEDIA’s new Gateway certification is intended for anyone who wishes to demonstrate their general knowledge of the residential electronics system industry, according to Jeff Gardner, director of certification and workforce development.

“In addition to serving as a foundation for higher level certification, the Gateway certification will elevate the level of knowledge needed by all team members in a home technology company,” Gardner said.

Review sessions for the Gateway and EST II certification exams will be available at CEDIA EXPO, as well as certification exams for the CEDIA Gateway Certification, EST II Certification, Designer Certification, and Residential Networking Specialist Certification.

In addition to the new courses and new certification, more than 45 exhibitors will be making their debut at CEDIA EXPO. Other show floor highlights include Rookie Row, High Performance Audio Rooms, and the New Product Launch Pad.

“CEDIA EXPO covers all facets of business for home technology professionals from product training and emerging trends to networking with peers and discovering new business strategies. We are excited to offer all our attendees a 360° integrated experience,” said Don Gilpin, executive director and COO.

Attendees ready to start planning can use a new live, searchable, dynamic schedule that can be accessed outside the registration system. This new feature provides real-time updates for CEDIA Training, events, and manufacturer product training. Attendees may also get their CEDIA EXPO questions answered throughout their registration process with the live chat function.

Registration for CEDIA EXPO 2014 is open at www.cedia.net/expo. Individuals may save 40 percent on registration fees until July 18. CEDIA members looking to take full advantage of the training offered can purchase a CEDIA Training Pass for $359 (regular price $599), which allows registration for as many courses as can be fit into a schedule. The discount excludes certification exam fees, Registered Outreach Instructor (ROI) “Train the Trainer” course, designated workshops, and the CEDIA Capital Summit.
