CEDIA Hits the Road with First CU of 2007

The organizations latest university event will be held later this month and will be hosted by Monster Cable in Brisbane, California.

Indianapolis, IN–Only a few weeks remain to register for CEDIA’s first CU On the Road education event of 2007. The event will be held on January 31 through February 3 at Monster Cable in Brisbane, California, near San Francisco.

The event will offer more than two dozen courses for residential electronic systems professionals, each led by a CEDIA certified instructor. Courses will range from audio and video calibration techniques to installation to codes and standards.

In addition, two all-day workshops will be held. The first will be a Home Theater Design Workshop led by industry expert Anthony Grimani of Performance Media Industries Ltd. on Friday, February 2. Industry expert Sam Cavitt of Media Environment Design will conduct the second workshop, Practical Application of Home Theater Design, on Saturday, February 3. CEDIA representatives say the workshops expose attendees to the perspective of experienced industry professionals.

CEDIA will also offer its Installer Level I and Level II certification exams, and Monster Cable will conduct product training at no cost to attendees.

CU On the Road is a program of CEDIA University, CEDIA’s education department. The program, which will hold five events in the U.S. and Canada in 2007, is designed to deliver CEDIA education courses to more systems contractors than would be possible from a single location. Courses are open to CEDIA members and nonmembers.
