In an effort to assist members in forming local peer group connections, CEDIA has created a new series of events to engage home technology professionals and to build local networking peer groups.
“A 2012 survey of CEDIA members revealed that 77 percent of business owners wanted opportunities to network with other business owners,��� said Laura Hockstra, senior director of industry programs. “Our members are busy and may not have the time or resources to set up their own networking event. Our goal is to help members connect on a local level to share and learn actionable tips and solutions to take back and implement in their business.”
Each Connect with CEDIA event will have an emerging trends update presented by a CEDIA staff member, roundtable discussions, and a networking cocktail hour. Six Connect with CEDIA events are scheduled in the United States and Canada in 2013.
