CEDIA Promotes Pedigo to VP, Emerging Technologies

CEDIA has promoted longtime employee Dave Pedigo to vice president, emerging technologies.

CEDIA has promoted longtime employee Dave Pedigo to vice president, emerging technologies. He will take on one of the key initiatives of the CEDIA brand strategy: creating partnerships with manufacturers, service providers, and standards bodies that will proactively address the emerging technology needs of home technology professionals at every level. He will also head up CEDIA’s market intelligence and proprietary research.

“CEDIA members must be nimble in their ability to leverage new technology,” said Vin Bruno, CEDIA CEO. “As their association, there is no question that we must provide members with the tailored resources they need not only to drive profit, but to deliver exceptional experiences to homeowners. Dave brings incredible passion and depth of knowledge to this new role and that will set CEDIA up to advance and develop our offerings across the board.”

Pedigo has been with CEDIA for 12 years, always serving in a technology role, first as the senior director of technology and most recently as the senior director of learning and emerging trends. He also oversees the CEDIA Technology Council, whose mission is to ensure long-term member prosperity by informing members and industry partners on emerging trends, threats, and opportunities within the home technology channel. The Technology Council also develops, through its applied information action team, recommended practices, standards, and white papers.

Pedigo previously worked in the satellite industry, as the senior director of education for SBCA and as a technical training engineer at Hughes Network Systems. Prior to working in the technology sector, he was a teacher for at-risk youth at an alternative high school in Baltimore.
