Capitol has revealed that CEDIA will be an “aggressively active” participant in its 2011 CLI Expo, scheduled to be held May 1-2 at the Oak Ridge Conference Center in Chaska, MN.

“Our friends at CEDIA understand the value of events like Capitol’s CLI Expo, where we give our customers a soup-to-nuts education and exposition on the technologies and trends affecting their business on a daily basis,” said Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s director of strategic development. “We’re thrilled to have them take a featured role in what is shaping up to be one of the most beneficial events for CI professionals on the front line.”

Dave Pedigo
In addition to being a featured exhibitor in the CLI Expo’s Technology Showcase, CEDIA’s senior director of technology, Dave Pedigo, will present two essential classes: “The Economic Outlook and Why Your Business MUST Change” and “Top Ten Technology Trends.”

Pedigo leads CEDIA’s Technology department, which works to assess current trends in the industry and develop technical white papers to support electronic systems professional businesses. Pedigo’s responsibilities include overseeing CEDIA’s Technology Advisory Group, which forecasts emerging trends and technologies that may impact the residential electronic systems industry and CEDIA members. His CLI Expo classes will focus on how a changing business environment and upcoming technology trends are forcing professionals to continue to adapt and respond to an ever-changing marketplace.

Among the consumer technology trendsetters that will present their innovations at a special Technology Showcase will be such brands as Panasonic, Monster, Russound, OmniMount, and Lutron, to name a few. More than 70 classes from over 50 vendors will be presented over the course of the two-day event.
