The new, 4K-capable HDBaseT Compact Extender Pairs from Clare Controls are an economical solution that packs features including bi-directional IR control and power over a single Cat-5e cable, providing flexibility and ease of installation.
Clare’s compact extenders were designed to optimize integrator efficiency. They use HDBaseT technology to transmit HDMI signals (1080p, 3D) from a single source over distances up to 70 meters (230 ft). They support 4K at 30Hz up to 40 meters (131 ft) over conventional Cat-5e/6/6a cable, and are HDCP 2.2 compliant for future support of encrypted 4K media.
Other features include LED power and network indicators, bi-directional IR control, and a space-saving footprint. Additionally, power over HDbaseT (PoH) from the transmitter to the receiver eliminates the need to conceal a bulky power supply behind the television.
Clare’s Compact Extenders further distinguish themselves in the field, where dealing with complex configuration requirements can slow or stall project deployment. Clare’s new extenders ship in a plug-and-play configuration, ready for quick and easy installation.
“Integrators are always on the lookout for a good price on extenders, but they can’t spend a lot of extra time on the job trying to get them to work, or worrying about how they’ll communicate with the other equipment,” said Jaime Jeffreys, Clare product manager. “We’re certainly offering our new HDBaseT extenders at the right price, but it’s their ease of use and reliable performance that will earn integrators’ ongoing business. The takeaway is simple. Unpack them, connect them, and plug them in — Clare’s extenders just work.”
Clare HDBaseT 70m Compact Extender pairs are available directly from Clare and over the counter through PowerHouse Alliance distributors across the U.S. for $250 per set (MSRP).
