Clare Controls has begun shipping ClareHome — its cloud-managed home automation solution — to dealers.

Since September Clare Controls has been beta testing its Apple-centric control system, and mobilizing rep firms to distribute the product throughout North America and abroad.

“Following a lengthy and rigorous beta test cycle, we have installed ClareHome in a wide variety of environments, ranging from The New American Home for 2012 to a 26,000 square-foot mansion in north Florida,” said Clare Controls CEO and founder Brett Price. “Based on the success of these projects, we feel confident that we’re offering a rock-solid, quality product; one we’re proud to ship.”

The ClareCloud Portal houses ClareHome’s Fusion configuration and deployment tool, for the management of diverse home automation systems. It has been designed to increase dealers’ efficiency, slashing days – and sometimes weeks – of expensive onsite programming from typical projects, according to the company. Programmers working in a cloud-based environment never lose time searching for a new driver or for a customer’s latest configuration file, for instance, because everything is centralized. Drivers are automatically maintained and updated, and customers’ projects are stored in Fusion’s built-in version control feature.

The system even streamlines maintenance after deployment. With technicians performing hardware-related tasks on site while programmers work remotely from the cloud, inevitable hardware changes (like upgrading a customer’s DVD players to Blu-rays) can be accomplished in a fraction of the traditional turnaround, Clare Controls says.

Following Clare Controls’ belief that the best user interfaces are the ones that customers design for themselves, ClareHome also supports the ability to allow end users to design and deploy personalized interfaces, in minutes, without outside assistance or added expense.

Clare Controls has launched several programs to support its product release. A North American Road Tour started this week, with hands-on product demonstrations in Cincinnati and Chicago. The tour will continue, with imminent dates to be announced in West Palm Beach, San Francisco, New York City, and Los Angeles. Clare Controls is also featuring ClareHome and ClareVision in Las Vegas at the ISC West show, March 28-30, in booth 4139.

The company also has launched the Clare Controls Boot Camp, in which authorized representatives and dealers will travel to the company’s Florida headquarters for classroom training on both the ClareHome and ClareVision products. The training includes instruction on the full functionality of the cloud-based Portal, where users configure, deploy and maintain ClareHome and ClareVision installations.
