Coghlan To Retire From BEAM Industries

John Coghlan has announced plans to retire as president of BEAM Industries, a division of Electrolux Home Care Products North America, effective March 1, 2006.

Bloomington, IL–John Coghlan has announced plans to retire as president of BEAM Industries, a division of Electrolux Home Care Products North America, effective March 1, 2006.

Coghlan joined BEAM in October 1987 as vice president and general manager after holding a number of positions with agricultural equipment manufacturer, Massey Ferguson Ltd. In 1993 he was named president of BEAM, taking the company where it stands today: approximately one-third of the world’s central vacuum systems are manufactured at BEAM’s Webster City, Iowa plant.

“During his tenure, John Coghlan built BEAM into the undisputed leader of the central vac business,” said John Case, president of EHCP. “Its products, dealer network and management team have been widely recognized for their industry leadership. John’s deep knowledge and steady hand will be missed.”

Coghlan and his wife, Marilyn, are relocating to Lake Panorama, Iowa where they plan to spend more time with family and enjoy the recreational activities of the area.
