Control4 has revealed the winners of its 2013 EMEA Dealer-Distributor Awards during the company’s annual International Dealer event, hosted at Hotel Arena.
With a record number of dealer project submissions for 9 distinct categories, this year’s awards reinforced the growth of the EMEA custom installation channel, the company says.
Each year the Control4 EMEA Dealer-Distributor Awards recognize members of the Control4 EMEA community for its commitment to forward-thinking business practices, superior customer service and technical support, as well as record-breaking sales volume. The awards also honor excellence in design and installation of Control4 systems.
“This year’s Control4 EMEA Dealer-Distributor Awards are the perfect representation of Control4’s growth internationally, as shown by the record number of submissions we received, and the remarkable quality of those submissions,” said senior vice president of sales, Jim Arnold, for Control4. “2013 winners excelled in both sales and service, and our global customers will continue to benefit from their expertise and creativity in designing and installing automation solutions for homes and businesses.”
Recognizing dealer creativity and ambition, James and Giles took home the award for Most Innovative Control4 Project, for their work on a period Victorian Holland Park villa in West London. The basement is complete relaxation area consisting of a home cinema, gym, massage room, steam room, sauna, and full-size squash court. The unique space has a ballroom that can comfortably hold 100 people for dancing, or with the touch of a button the floor drops to reveal an expansive swimming pool. By integrating the HVAC and lighting control systems with a high power audio system, James and Giles completely changes the ambience based on how the room is being used.
Control4 named Atlantis AV Solutions of Malmesbury the UK Dealer of the Year. “When a Dealer outperforms in every category from innovative projects to sales volume and system upgrades, you have to applaud their tenacity, their business acumen and their dedication to their business and ours,” said Arnold, while congratulating Atlantis AV for an amazing year.
Control4 also presented Intelligent Controls with the 4Thought Award for Outstanding Charitable Contribution for their work with Francis House Children’s Hospice in South Manchester. Intelligent Controls outfitted the Hospice, which provides a home and care for children diagnosed with life threatening or life limiting conditions, with an integrated Control4 solution that spans eight bedrooms, two self-contained apartments, a 3D cinema room and a multi-sensory music therapy suite that can be controlled from multiple points around the building.
