Control4 Unveils New Partner Program at CES

Las Vegas, NV — Control4, a leader in affordable IP-based home control and entertainment systems, today unveiled the details of its new Control4 Partners Program aimed at enabling additional third-party manufacturers to design products that easily integrate with the successful Control4 platform. The program accommodates different levels of product implementation—from the licensing of Control4’s core technology to certification of third-party compatibility. Successful relationships, such as those with LG Electronics, Black and Decker and Panasonic, are leveraging the Control4 platform and bringing compelling new products to market.

“Control4 is partnering with leading manufacturers of all of the components used in home systems,” said Will West, CEO of Control4. “The fact that we are licensing our core technology clearly demonstrates our level of commitment to providing high quality, affordable and easy-to-use home-automation technology to the broadest market possible.”

The Control4Partners Program offers four key designations representing the most effective methods of product integration for every company: Control4 Powered means Control4core technology is embedded in third-party products; Control4 Ready denotes that Control4software is embedded in third-party products; Control4Certified indicates the partner’s products employ plug-and-play technology with two-way drivers; and Control4Compatible signifies that the product is compatible with Control4 through IR connectivity.

“Control4 is a leading company for home automation systems and we are excited about partnering with them to offer automated door locks for the broad market,” said Dave Albert, vice president of brand marketing and business development, Black & Decker Hardware and Home Improvement Group. “The Control4 team is highly innovative, dedicated, and personable. Through our association with Control4, we will reach the broad marketing for home automation.”

At CES, Control4’s Partner Pavilion included these companies: LG Electronics, Pioneer, Sony, iPort, VisionArt, Card Access, MechoShade, Luxul, Denon, Eaton, Panamax, Cytex One, Ember, Control UI, Audio Authority, DSC, Global Cache, Zatabit, Ingenium Care, NuVo, Peak Software, Triad Speakers, Panasonic, Black & Decker, and Atlantic Technology.
