At the National Association Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, The New American Home (TNAH) was open during exhibit hours for tours by convention attendees. A Crestron whole home automation system was the focal point of this year’s sophisticated desert sanctuary.

This official show home is produced and sponsored by NAHB’s Leading Suppliers Council and Builder Magazine.

“We’re excited to demonstrate our home automation solutions in The New American Home,” said Chad Hollander, Crestron Las Vegas branch manager. “The home gives the design build community inspiration and ideas for incorporating technology and sustainable building materials that they can begin using immediately to design high performance homes.”

Now in its 30th year, The New American Home (TNAH) is constructed annually to showcase innovative residential construction technologies and the latest building products. The design team consisted of builder, architect, and design firm, Blue Heron and custom electronics design and installation company, Eagle Sentry. “The partnership between Crestron, Blue Heron and Eagle Sentry demonstrates the success of smart technology and design in the home when collaboration takes place at the beginning of the project,” said Dave Sell, Crestron executive director.

This year’s home showcased many Crestron solutions for indoor and outdoor entertaining, including its multiroom HD audio and video systems. Guests can enjoy music in any room – indoors or outdoors – or watch movies in several rooms with beautiful displays. Crestron in-wall and in-ceiling speakers delivered high performance sound throughout the 17,000 square foot property.

“Crestron was a natural fit because of their Integrated by Design concept which delivers a complete home technology solution on a single platform,” said Greg Simmons, co-owner, Eagle Sentry.
