Indianapolis, IN–The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association is expanding its CEDIA University certification review and exam programs through a partnership with four member companies in the U.S. and Canada–ADI, AVAD, Media Dynamics, and TAG.
“CEDIA commends ADI, AVAD and TAG in the U.S. and Media Dynamics in Canada for their commitment to a higher level of education and excellence within the residential electronic systems industry,” said CEDIA president Andy Willcox. “With the help of these fine companies, CEDIA University’s review and exam sessions are more widely available and CEDIA is taking another step forward in its effort to remain the preeminent advocacy group for custom installation and integration businesses.”
CEDIA University will offer 22 Electronics Systems Technician (EST) Installer Level I review and exam sessions at locations spread across the U.S., with an additional seven Installer Level I exams following scheduled EST Boot Camp events. There will be 10 Installer Level I review and exam sessions at locations in Canada. Six Installer Level II review and exam sessions are planned for the U.S.
Willcox said CEDIA University’s education and certification programs are critical to cementing electronics systems professionals as the “fourth contractor” within residential building and remodeling trades. He said superior training and certification provides a clear, objective standard for professionals within the residential electronic systems contracting industry, differentiates CEDIA Member companies in the marketplace, and creates a pathway for non-members striving for excellence and credibility.
