Current Audio has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with Computers Unlimited (CU), spanning the UK, France and Spain.

Current Audio’s complete line, including in-ceiling and in-wall architectural speakers, outdoor loudspeakers, multichannel amplifiers, subwoofers and custom installation accessories, will be stocked and available in CU warehouses beginning this month.

Headquartered in London, the Digital Home division is the niche CU business unit assigned to manage specialist audio and video retail and custom installation sectors with a dedicated team of sales, marketing and support staff. Additional operations are located in both Barcelona and Paris, where the company recently added a French-speaking support team, an investment they plan to announce formally next month.

“At CU Digital Home, we are dedicated to providing our trade partners with the very best and most progressive products available. The quality of the Current Audio product portfolio speaks for itself and we are delighted to be representing this innovative and award-winning range of custom installation audio products,” said Glenn McClelland, CU’s group commercial director.

“Based on my many years in the integration business, I can confidently say that our team actually grasps what the custom installation market requires when it comes to the design and manufacture of premium audio products—from ease of installation, to margin, to performance,” said Sean McDermott, president of Current Audio. “We are extremely excited to get to work with CU. They have a proven track record of success that has earned them the respect of their dealers. They have proven that they are willing to invest in their company and grow it to meet the ever changing needs of their customer base—a mission we appreciate on many levels.”

“We’ve watched CU’s Digital Home division expand rapidly and tactically, adding many fine brands to their portfolio, for which we’re proud to be associated,” said Hal Truax, vice president of business development at Current Audio. “Most notable is their concurrent support of that growth—via the addition of key product strategy, sales, marketing and support members to their infrastructure—which illustrates their commitment to the advance of the custom install market as a whole.”
