Daisy Acquires SaaviHome; Opens New Palm Springs Location

SaaviHome’s Matt Lantzy has been named new franchisee sales and success leader for Daisy.

Daisy has added two more key business and locations as franchises, including SaaviHome, which has franchises of its own, and new branch in Pal Springs, Calif., that is run by Matt Walin, and Charles Dyer.

Daisy Acquires Smart Home Franchisor SaaviHome

Daisy continues its rapid growth with the recent acquisition of SaaviHome, a Denver-based integrator that launched its franchising operation last year. Not only does this add a tenth location to Daisy’s footprint, the move highlights Daisy’s commitment to growth through franchising.

For more than 20 years, SaaviHome has provided technology solutions for customers in the Mountain West. The company’s CEO, Gavin Lantzy, has more than 15 years of experience in the franchising space and home technology industry. Lantzy has spent the last three years building out a robust training program to take SaaviHome’s systems and processes nationwide to entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts interested in starting smart home installation companies. He successfully launched the franchise program last September, with his first franchisee recently opening multiple locations in Colorado.

“I’m thrilled to welcome SaaviHome into Daisy and to have the opportunity to work closely with Gavin, his team, and the SaaviHome franchisees,” says Hagan Kappler, co-founder and CEO of Daisy. “Gavin’s deep expertise and dedication to supporting the industry will be invaluable as we continue to drive Daisy’s initiatives forward, especially new franchise owner training and onboarding programs. Gavin and his team will help Daisy expedite enabling new franchise opportunities and ensuring we provide unparalleled support and innovation for our franchisees, our teams, and our clients.”

SaaviHome’s strategic focus on both franchising and market penetration aligns with Daisy’s – enabling the two entities to combine forces to support franchise growth in the professional smart home industry nationwide.

“SaaviHome was founded on the vision and values instilled by my father, whose passion was to deliver simple technology solutions for customers,” says Lantzy. “Since his passing in 2021, I have been driven by the legacy he left behind, striving to carry forward the mission of making homes smarter and lives simpler. I know he would be proud of how we are bringing this vision into reality.

“I believe the acquisition of SaaviHome by Daisy will not only enhance the growth of our existing locations but also strengthen our presence in the custom integration market and enable our team to better serve our clients with the addition of Daisy’s extensive resources and support. I’m excited about joining forces with Daisy and look forward to our next chapter.”

Lantzy will become Daisy’s new franchisee sales and success leader.

Daisy Opens 11th Location in Palm Springs

Daisy also announced the opening of its 11th franchise location in Palm Springs, Calif. The new franchise is owned by a partnership between Matt Walin, Daisy’s franchisee who converted his Costa Mesa, Calif., location to Daisy in February 2024, and Charles Dyer, a technology executive. Dyer brings extensive experience in general management, strategy and business development supporting a range of companies in the technology space, from startups to Microsoft. This background, paired with Walin’s decades of smart home industry leadership, positions Daisy’s newest branch for success.

“We’re thrilled to launch a new franchise location in the Palm Springs market, a high growth region for smart home technology” says Kappler. “Across our markets, we find people have a need for trusted integrators in nearby locations for their second and third homes. Palm Springs is a great example of how Daisy is quickly building a location to meet that need, thanks to the combined expertise of leaders like Matt and Charles.”

The Palm Springs expansion shows the growth potential for franchisees from working with Daisy’s business development support center, including its call center, sales and marketing programs, talent recruitment and training solutions, product and supply chain support, integrated technology infrastructure to run the business end-to-end, and more.

“Converting Brilliant AV to a Daisy franchise was a major milestone for us and I’m thrilled that only six months later we’re opening a brand-new location in Palm Springs,” says Walin. “This rapid growth is only possible thanks to the Daisy team and their support center. Daisy is helping us to quickly ramp up operations to launch a successful branch. I’m excited to partner with Charles Dyer, who brings a wealth of experience in business development and further strengthens our ability to exceed expectations and set a new benchmark in the region.”

Adds Dyer, “Joining the Daisy team as a franchisee is an incredible opportunity. Having been involved with early-stage Smart Space and Home Lighthouse initiatives at Microsoft and HERE Technology, it’s great to see these technologies start to come together in a seamless way and become more accessible to homes and offices alike. Working alongside Matt Walin and the dedicated Daisy team, I’m excited to help drive the success of the Palm Springs location and contribute to the broader expansion of Daisy’s national presence.”
