DBL’s Fall Vendor Expo Sees 400 Guests

Scottsdale, AZ — DBL Distributing hosted its fall Vendor Exposition on Saturday, October 11, 2008. The semi-annual event allows DBL’s brand name manufacturing partners to exhibit the latest consumer electronic products and accessories to DBL employees and customers. DBL employees, customers and manufacturer representatives combined for an impressive turnout with attendance approaching 400 guests. The event, scheduled to coincide with DBL’s recently released Fall/Winter 2008 catalog, was held at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The DBL Vendor Exposition is geared to foster education about new products and vendors featured in the new winter catalog. Just in time for the holiday season, DBL customers and employees are able to learn informative selling points and product features from DBL’s industry leading manufacturers. Returning vendors to this impressive product exposition include Canon, JVC, XM Radio, Casio, Samsung, Sony, NXG and Monster Cable. Some of the new vendors to present product at this year’s exposition include DelouGPS, Novint, Hitachi, Storage Appliances, Hawking Technologies and NYKO.

New to this year’s Vendor Expo was the Spirit of Innovation Awards. DBL collected nominations for some of the most innovation products featured in their new October catalog. DBL’s Spirit of Innovation overall winner was awarded to Hitachi for their Ultra Thin LCD television. The category winners included Novint, Hitachi, Iogear and Hawking Technology.

DBL and The Training Dept teamed up to offer custom integration training seminars at the event. Grayson Evans, a CEDIA certified instructor with over 15 years of training experience, taught two courses, Retrofit Tips and Techniques and Secrets of HD Calibration. Both classes offered important information on custom installation techniques.

The participating manufacturers were pleased with the foot traffic and felt they were able to speak with the customers and employees who could promote their products. “The DBL Vendor Expo was an absolute success for our company,” stated Steven Muntean, CEO of Blackbox GPS. “The Expo created a winning environment for manufacturers, DBL staff, and their customers to learn about their innovative Products/Solutions. I would highly recommend any manufacturer working with DBL to take advantage of this strong ROI opportunity. ”

“I feel that this Vendor Expo was our best event to date,” stated Tim Coakley, senior vice president of merchandising for DBL Distributing. “DBL employees and customers obtained critical selling features on all the new products in DBL’s catalog. With DBL’s Vendor Expo gaining more popularity in the industry, we continue to break attendance records with each event.”
