Seattle, WA — Digital Delivery Group (DDG), a distribution consortium for digital-home technology, will soon open a new distribution center and showroom in Houston by its Southwest member WAVE Electronics Inc. The new location, their fifth overall and second in Houston, is scheduled to open on June 1. It will showcase the company’s more than 120 audio, video, security, and installation brands to area customers with convenient and efficient ordering and will-call services.
“Independent custom integrators have embraced WAVE as their distributor of choice throughout the south central region, and 2008 was our best year ever and the growth has continued through 2009,” explained Gary Wermuth, president of WAVE Electronics Inc. “DDG has played a significant role in our growth but the ‘secret sauce’ is our showrooms, selection, and fun promotions. This expansion is a reflection of the success of our business model and commitment to being a truly customer service oriented operation.”

WAVES VP of purchasing and merchandising, Ainslie Fukuda, noted that a significant portion of their business is driven by will-call. “Dealers know we are a true one-stop custom shop,” he said. “They utilize our showrooms for compelling client presentations. Our new location is strategically located in the middle of the city of Houston. It will allow us to conveniently deliver our goods and services to our expanding Houston area dealer base.”
As with all of WAVE’s distribution centers, the new Houston location offers a fully stocked 8,000-square-foot warehouse, showrooms for dealers to use as their own, end-user financing, and dealer training. WAVE Electronics’ new Houston distribution center is located at 8988 B Glenmont Drive, Houston, TX 77034.
