Denon plans to expand its selection of Heos Wi-Fi multizone-audio products with the summertime availability of a Heos-equipped soundbar and the line’s first portable option.
The brand’s website identifies the products as the Heos HomeCinema, which comes with an outboard subwoofer, and the Heos 1 portable. Pricing and specifications were not listed.
The products will join the company’s first six Wi-Fi-based multiroom-audio products, launched in 2014. They include three powered stereo speakers with built-in wireless receivers. They are the $599 Heos 7, $399 Heos 5 and $299 Heos 3. Later in 2014, the company launched the $499 Heos Amp, which connects to any pair of passive speakers; the $349 Heos link preamp, which connects to existing sound systems; and the $99 Heos Extend, a Wi-Fi range extender.
